DIVING THE CENOTES
Explore the magnificent underground rivers of the Yucatan with amazing formations and awsome visibility. If you are an Open Water Diver, you can join us and explore the underground rivers of theYucatan, decorated with amazing stalagtites and stalagmites.
Cenote comes from the Mayan word Izonott, which means “well”. The are actually sinkholes in the limestome formations that make up much of the Yucatan Peninsula. When the top of the undeground rivers colapse, the sinkhole or cenote appears. They may extend for many miles.
Cenote and cave diving began growing in popularity in the area some 20 years ago. The aera is know world wide and attracks divers from all over the world to visit the caverns under the direction of experienced guides.
The extremely clear water creates an incredible diving experience,
not unlike flying in air..
It is important to note that cenote diving can be high-risk sport. Our experienced
